Who we are

R&S Lawncare & Landscape is a lawn care and landscaping business serving Huntsville and North Alabama, about an hour out in any direction. The legal entity behind it is R&S Lawn Care & Landscape LLC, an Alabama limited liability company. This policy covers this website, randslandscaping.net, and nothing else. We wrote it in plain language on purpose, and everything in it describes how the site actually works.

The short version

The only personal information this site ever handles is what you type into the contact form. It gets emailed to us and is not saved anywhere on the site. No analytics, no trackers, no ads, no selling data, and the only cookie is an optional one that remembers your language choice. That is the whole model.

What we collect, and when

The contact form asks for your name, phone number, email address, and message. We receive those four things when you press send, and not before. While you browse, the site collects no personal information: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts. If you never submit the form, no personal information reaches us at all.

Why we collect it

We use what you send for exactly one purpose: to answer you and put together a free estimate for the work you asked about. Your phone number and email exist so we can reach you back. We do not use your information for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not build profiles of anyone.

Where your message goes

When you submit the form, our server checks the fields and emails your message to our business inbox. That email is delivered by Resend, an email delivery provider, and your email address is set as the reply address so we can answer you directly. It goes nowhere else. The recipient address is fixed on our server and cannot be changed by anything you or anyone else types into the form.

What we store: nothing

This site runs no database and keeps no copy of what you wrote. Your message is not saved to a file, a spreadsheet, or a CRM. It passes through our server and lands in our email inbox, the same way a message you typed yourself would. From then on it sits in that inbox until we delete it. If you ask us to delete it, that single copy is the whole cleanup.

Spam protection, and what it holds

To keep automated junk from burying our inbox, the server runs a few checks on each submission: it verifies the request came from this website, applies hidden checks that only trip for bots, and counts how many submissions arrive from the same place in a short window. The counting is done with a SHA-256 hash of your IP address, trimmed to a short fragment. That fragment is never attached to your name or message, is used for nothing except counting, and expires on its own within about an hour. Our server logs record only the outcome of a submission (sent, rejected, or rate-limited), how long it took, and that same truncated fragment, never the content of your message or your contact details.

Service providers

Three providers help run this site, and each sees only what its job requires. Vercel hosts the website and, like any host, processes requests to serve pages and keeps standard operational logs. Resend transmits the contact-form email described above. A managed counter store may briefly hold the anonymous rate-limit fragments described above. None of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes, and none of them receives your message content except Resend, which must carry the email to deliver it.

Cookies

This site can set exactly one cookie, and only if you ask it to. The first time you visit, a short welcome asks which language you would like to read. Leave its remember box checked and a cookie named lang keeps your choice (its whole content is the word "es" or "en") so the homepage greets you in your language next visit. The language toggle at the top of every page does the same thing. It identifies nothing and nobody, is read by no one but this site, and you can delete it in your browser settings any time. Clear that box, or close the welcome without choosing, and no cookie is ever written. That answer is kept in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device, and from then on the language toggle stops writing cookies too. That is the complete list: no tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, ever.

What we never do

We run no analytics, tracking pixels, ad tech, fingerprinting, or third-party scripts. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers, and we never have. We honor the spirit of every do-not-track setting by not tracking anyone in the first place. If any of this ever changes, this page changes first and the date above moves.

Your choices and rights

Because the site stores nothing, exercising your rights is simple. Want to know what we have? At most, one email from you in our inbox. Want it deleted? Call us at (256) 990-9319 or send a note through the contact form and say so, and we will delete it from the inbox and confirm. Want a copy first? Say that instead. We answer these requests ourselves, without charge, usually within a few days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, with modern security headers, and the contact pipeline validates everything it receives before acting on it. The most important security measure is structural: information that is never stored cannot leak from storage. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your information despite this design, we will notify affected people as Alabama law requires.

Children

This site is for property owners and managers hiring lawn care. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If a child has submitted the form, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle information changes, this page changes before the practice does, and the date at the top shows the last edit. Reading it again any time costs nothing.
